Self-worth is defined as “the sense of one's own value or worth as a person” and while that may seem apparent to some, many may still feel at a loss. Which is why we took a deep dive into this subject in our latest podcast with Denisse Benitez, aka Chasing Denisse, who opened up about how she values herself professionally, as a woman of color and more. We hope the tidbits below will help you get started or ignite the self-worth flame for you. For the real deal experience, take a listen and let us know what you think.
Evolving is key: Rebranding yourself for the simple fact that you can. You are entitled to rediscover yourself at any point in your life. Whether you stick with your OG Instagram handle or change it later on, you need to be in touch with whatever identity that empowers you at the moment.
Surround yourself with aces: There are still women out there who still don’t empower each other, especially within our culture. You will grow from your tight-knit community because you are consistently and constantly recognizing your worth and value.
Ask yourself THIS question: Do you honestly care about the work you’re doing? Because if you don’t, you won’t put as much effort into it and others will see right through it. Respect the kind of work you are doing, because that’s where all of that starts.
